Kinja'd!!!

Hey oppo. Jack's parking lights won't turn off, no matter what I do short of unhooking the battery. Help? Tonight, even the most basic suggestions are warmly welcomed.

Pull the fuse so you can get some sleep. Worry about it in the morning.

I'm not going to want to fix it before I leave for work at 6:30am either. And I don't want to get a call that my wife's battery is dead and she's stuck somewhere.

Well. Apparently that button keeps the parking lights on.

Thanks.

Google indeed agrees. Looks like it often gets bumped by mistake.

Edit: Looks like you got it before I was done typing. Now it just looks weird. lol

Did you try the button already?

I know its real common for people to hit it and then they get a dead battery in return.

Break out the multimeter and start checking for shorts (no not the kind you wear. . .). You could start by following the wires from the headlamps back to see if there is a pinch somewhere in the engine compartment, then start looking under the dash for any wires that may be pinched.

Pull the fuse for the headlamps and see if they turn off. if they do you are most likely looking for a short before the fuse, your multifunction switch may have shit the bed or you might just have a bad ground or a pinched wire. Sorry if this got convoluted, hopefully you have some area to start looking.

You need to see if you can find a wiring diagram for the car detailing the headlamp circuit, google may be good for you if you search for a pdf of the wiring diagram. Good luck with finding the electrical gremlin that is plaguing you right now.

No problemo! I also have one for 03 wrx year and the non turbo. Always had it passed on to me so it is great to pass it on. Has saved my ass so many times.
